Juventus reportedly identify Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane as an ideal candidate to take over from Andrea Pirlo.

Juventus are reportedly contemplating bringing in Zinedine Zidane as Andrea Pirlo's replacement for the 2021-22 campaign.

Pirlo's Juventus have lost their nine-year stronghold on the Serie A crown to Inter Milan, and the Turin giants are also at risk of missing out on a place in the Champions League next season.

The Old Lady have won 30 out of their 47 games with Pirlo at the helm, but the 41-year-old's future in the hotseat is far from secure, especially after their dampening Champions League exit to Porto earlier in the campaign.

According to Tuttosport, Juve have earmarked Real Madrid boss Zidane as an ideal candidate to take over, with the Frenchman's future at the Bernabeu also up in the air.

The report adds that Zidane can elect to trigger an exit clause in his Real Madrid deal - which expires in 2022 - but his £10.5m wages could prove to be a stumbling block for Juve.

Zidane's Real Madrid are three points adrift of La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid before their crunch match with Sevilla on Sunday night.
