Wales boss Chris Coleman has told new Real Madrid coach Rafael Benitez to build his team around the qualities of Gareth Bale.
The Welshman shone in Friday's vital 1-0 win over Belgium by scoring the goal that takes his country ever closer to Euro 2016 qualification.
In contrast, Bale endured a troubled second season in the Spanish capital and was occasionally booed by the Blancos' supporters, prompting speculation of a move away.
However, Coleman says that it would be a mistake to let the 25-year-old leave the Bernabeu and wants to see him playing a leading role under Benitez next term.
"That was a good introduction for Bale to Rafa," Coleman told reporters. "I think Rafa's been quoted as saying he will build his team around Bale and why wouldn't he?
"He's capable of anything but he also came off that pitch shattered because he worked so hard with and without the ball.
"He was exhausted at the end. He had nothing. He had cramp 20 minutes into the second half."
It was Bale's 50th cap for Wales.
