Carlo Ancelotti: "La Liga race is uncertain"

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti predicts a close end to the La Liga title race.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has hinted that his side might have been clear in the La Liga title race at this stage if they had found their best form at the start of the season.

Los Blancos lost to both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the early part of the campaign, but have not suffered a single defeat in any competition since the end of last October.

As it stands, Ancelotti's side lead La Liga with 12 games remaining, but they are just one point clear of second-place Barcelona and three clear of third-place Atletico.

"It's uncertain, the distances are very small and it's all to play for. Our growth? We lost time trying to find our equilibrium, it was hard but now we're more solid and doing things better," he told Sky Sports News.

Real Madrid have won 20 of their 26 league games this season.
