Harry Redknapp: 'We showed great character in West Bromwich Albion comeback'

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp says that his side showed great character to beat West Bromwich Albion after going 2-0 down inside 20 minutes.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has praised his side for coming from two goals down to beat West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League this afternoon.

Goals from Joleon Lescott and Silvestre Varela gave the visitors a 2-0 lead at Loftus Road, but Charlie Austin's hat-trick won the game for Redknapp's men and lifted them up to 15th in the Premier League table.

Redknapp admitted that he did not see his team coming back to win after Albion's fast start, telling reporters: "West Brom started so well, they went two up and deserved to be two up in all fairness.

"They were fantastic in that first 20 minutes and we were struggling to stay with them and it looked like being a long, hard day.

"But we got the penalty and then in the second-half we showed great character to come back and when you've got Charlie in your team you have a chance to score the goals."

Redknapp's side will travel across London to face Arsenal on Boxing Day, without an away point this season.
