Thomas Tuchel has been confirmed as the new boss of Paris Saint-Germain on a two-year deal.

Unai Emery has just guided PSG to the Ligue 1 title but it was confirmed last month that the Spaniard would step down from his role at the end of the season.

Before that announcement, reports suggested that Tuchel was the leading contender to make the move to the Parc des Princes and the French giants have now confirmed that the 44-year-old will be in the dugout next season.

Tuchel has been out of work for almost a year after a two-year spell at Borussia Dortmund, and the move to France will represent his first role outside of Germany.

The club's hierarchy will hand Tuchel the task of competing for the Champions League next season, having only reached the last-16 stage during the current campaign.
