Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says that he can 'imagine himself' managing in Ligue 1, amid long-term links with the Paris Saint-Germain job.

Jose Mourinho has flirted with the Paris Saint-Germain job by admitting that he can see see himself managing in Ligue 1.

The 56-year-old has been out of work since being axed by Manchester United in December on the back of the club's worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign.

Mourinho has also managed Chelsea across two spells in the English top flight, where he had far more success, and has taken charge of Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Porto in three other countries.

Having long been linked with a switch to French football with PSG, Mourinho says that he will consider any offers.

Asked about the prospect of coaching in Ligue 1, Mourinho told BeIN Sports: "I can imagine that, yes. I have worked in four different countries and I like that.

"I like to get to know other cultures and to learn all the time. To work in another league would be a fantastic experience."

Mourinho has also been tipped to return to Madrid, where he won one La Liga title and the Copa del Rey.
