Filippo Inzaghi: 'Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani will score 50 between them'

Former Italy striker Filippo Inzaghi believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani will be prolific for Paris Saint-Germain this season.

Former AC Milan and Italy striker Filippo Inzaghi has stated his belief that Paris Saint-Germain strikers Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani will score at least 50 goals between them this season.

Cavani is a new signing at Parc des Princes, but his prowess in Italy for Napoli combined with Inzaghi's former Milan teammate Ibrahimovic, who scored 30 Ligue 1 goals last season, has led the 40-year-old to insist that the pair will destroy French defences.

"Ibrahimovic and Cavani make a formidable pairing," Corriere dello Sport quotes Inzaghi as saying.

"Cavani is deadly in the box, and has already scored his first league goal. Together, Cavani and Ibra are going to score 50 goals this season."

The Uruguayan forward scored late on to salvage a point for PSG in their match with Ajaccio on Sunday night.
