Laurent Blanc backs Paris Saint-Germain to improve

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc says that his side will try to do even better next season after winning their third straight Ligue 1 title.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has claimed that his team can get better after winning the Ligue 1 title.

The Parisians claimed their third straight French championship by earning a 2-1 victory over Montpellier HSC on Saturday evening.

"We will try to do better next season, see where we can make improvements and to go further next year," BBC Sport quotes Blanc as saying. "A title always tastes good, but the manner in which one wins it can bring an extra satisfaction.

"We were up against it in the first part of the season for various reasons. We pulled ourselves together and I maintained above all my faith in the players and that was a good call because they repaid this confidence.

"Paris do not want to stop now, we want to continue to make progress and to get better. I hope that will happen."

PSG could become the first French club to win the treble when they play Auxerre in the Coupe de France final at the end of May.
