Simon Grayson: 'We didn't deserve to win'

Preston boss Simon Grayson admits that his players deserved their 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient after conceding a late goal.

Preston North End boss Simon Grayson has admitted that his team did not deserve to beat Leyton Orient following their 2-2 draw at Deepdale.

The hosts were 10 minutes away from earning the three points last night, but a late goal from Chris Dagnall meant that the spoils had to be shared.

Grayson believes that an inability to work as a team ultimately cost his players the chance to boost their promotion chances.

"When you look at the overall game we weren't good enough and didn't deserve a win," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We didn't work hard enough as a team. So overall it was a disappointing and frustrating night.

"The decision making was wrong. We shot from stupid angles and distances when it wasn't on to do it. Individuals played as if they've never played with their teammates recently."

Preston are back in league action on Tuesday when they entertain Yeovil Town.
