Notts County confirm the signing of Welsh defender Gareth Roberts on a free transfer until the end of the season.

Notts County have confirmed the signing of Wales defender Gareth Roberts on a free transfer.

Magpies manager Shaun Derry has moved for the former Derby County left-back to add cover to his defence, which has seen injuries to Mustapha Dumbuya and Gary Liddle in recent weeks.

Having made over 500 Football League appearances over his career, the 35-year-old Welsh international has just been released by Bury despite being made their club captain last summer.

Roberts's deal will run until the end of the current season.
