Norwich City boss Alex Neil disappointed by draw with Birmingham City

Norwich City boss Alex Neil claims that his side should have beaten Birmingham City following their goalless draw at St Andrew's in the Championship.

Norwich City boss Alex Neil has admitted his disappointment after seeing his side draw 0-0 at Birmingham City.

The Canaries made it two games without a win in the Championship on Saturday as they were held at St Andrew's.

Neil believes that a lack of a "cutting edge" in the final third cost his side the three points following a dominant display in the Midlands.

"It was a case of us dominating the ball for most of the game and them sitting in. I thought we were the better side," the Scot is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"I thought we moved the ball through the zones while Birmingham were much more direct - albeit just as effective - but we were the dominant side. We just didn't have that cutting edge. I'm disappointed with the draw."

Norwich continue their bid for promotion next Saturday when they welcome struggling Blackpool to Carrow Road.
