Bradford City have been forced to withdraw an official club calender from sale after it mistakenly featured Hull City striker Dele Adebola on the front cover.

The product originally featured a photograph of Bantams defender Guy Branston challenging Adebola.

However, when the calender was printed Branston had been cropped out, leaving Adebola on his own in a Hull strip.

The error was brought to light during Saturday's match against Rochdale after a number of fans complained.

"We were just asked for some imagery by the printers which we sent over. We didn't get to see it afterwards because it wasn't our calendar," the club's director of operations David Baldwin told the Telegraph & Argus. "It wasn't sent back to retail for proofing so the calendar went straight on sale with that wrong cover. But we've had it taken off sale now and they are sorting it.

"We haven't incurred any costs in production because it was nothing to do with us really. It was down to the shop licensee - we didn't make any money from sales.

"But obviously as soon as we realised the error, we insisted that it was removed."

The calender was designed by Just Sport Pro Club.
