The 44-year-old has also been handed an additional two-game suspended ban.

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson has been banned from the dugout for the next three matches.

Robinson will have to sit in the stand for the rest of 2018 after admitting two charges at a Scottish Football Association disciplinary hearing, which related to his team's 7-1 defeat by Rangers on November 11.

The 44-year-old has also been handed an additional two-game suspended ban, which will hang over him until the end of next season.

The Northern Irishman was sent to the stand shortly after Carl McHugh was sent off by referee Craig Thomson, after appearing to become embroiled in a dispute with members of the Rangers coaching staff.

Robinson admitted a misconduct charge and "criticising a match official in such a way as to indicate bias or incompetence" or "impinge on his character".

Speaking immediately after the game, Robinson criticised the handling of the situation by fourth official Craig Napier.

"Listen, members of their staff came up to voice their opinion," Robinson said. "I was the only one sent to the stand.

"A young boy, out of his depth as a fourth official, obviously can't deal with that. I don't think it was a major incident."

Robinson served a one-game ban last season after being sent to the stand at Hampden following an argument with then Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha.
