Kevin Strootman, who is reportedly a top transfer target of Manchester United, says that he is happy at Roma and expects to return from his injury in the near future.

Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman has said that he is happy at the club, despite being linked with a move to Manchester United.

Reports have emerged this weekend claiming that the Dutchman wants to join the Red Devils in January, but he has claimed that he is enjoying life at the club and is looking forward to returning from injury.

"I feel better and better," Strootman said in a Google Hangout Quiz.

"It is always difficult to know you'll miss the World Cup and the start of the new season. I am training with the squad now and I'm happy.

"I want to support my team and start playing very soon, including in the Champions League."

Strootman joined Roma last summer, but has not played since March after suffering a knee injury.
