Report: Nice cool interest in Manchester United's Jesse Lingard

A report claims that Jesse Lingard is likely to remain at Manchester United for the rest of the season as Nice are no longer interested in signing the midfielder.

Ligue 1 side Nice have reportedly cooled their interest in Manchester United outcast Jesse Lingard.

The 28-year-old has fallen way down the pecking order under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, making just three appearances in all competitions this term.

Lingard was tipped to move on this month but, according to Sky Sports News, he now looks set to stay at Old Trafford for at least another five months.

Nice were considered the frontrunners to sign the United academy product, though it is claimed that the French outfit are no longer looking to recruit this month.

Lingard, who has also been touted as a possible target for Sheffield United, has a year-and-a-half to run on his United contract.
