Manchester United will reportedly consider a move for Ajax defender Daley Blind if Patrice Evra decides to join Juventus, despite recently signing a new one-year deal at Old Trafford.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will reportedly switch his attention to Ajax defender Daley Blind should Patrice Evra opt to join Juventus this summer.

Despite Evra recently signing a new one-year deal at Old Trafford, widespread reports have claimed that United will allow Evra to leave following an approach from the Italian side.

Should the deal go through, Blind, who played under Van Gaal during the Netherlands' World Cup campaign in Brazil, is expected to be on the top of United's wishlist, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The 24-year-old is reportedly being eyed as a challenger to 18-year-old Luke Shaw, who moved to Old Trafford from Southampton last month.
