Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick says that Anthony Martial has not told the club that he wants to leave.

Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has said that Anthony Martial has not told the club that he wants to leave during the January transfer window.

On Friday, the attacker's agent Philippe Lamboley said that his client wants to seek pastures new at the start of 2022, having become frustrated with life at Old Trafford.

A number of clubs, including Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Everton and Arsenal, have since been credited with an interest in his services.

However, Rangnick has said that the 26-year-old has not told the 20-time English champions that he wants to move on during the winter transfer window.

"The player hasn't spoken with me or us about it," Rangnick told reporters. "If he really has the wish to go to another club, it should be the player who informs either the board or myself.

"To be honest, what his agent says via the media is not of that much interest to me."

Martial has struggled to make his mark at club level during the 2021-22 campaign, managing just one goal in 10 appearances in all competitions.
