Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to re-sign Bournemouth forward Joshua King this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly keen on re-signing Bournemouth forward Joshua King during this summer's transfer window.

The 28-year-old was linked with a return to Old Trafford in January, but United could not agree a fee with the Cherries and later signed Odion Ighalo on loan from Shanghai Shenhua.

King is expected to leave the Vitality Stadium before next month's transfer deadline, and Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be in talks over a deal for the Norwegian.

The attacker recently revealed that he would be interested in a return to the Red Devils, though, and according to The Athletic, Solskjaer is keen on a player who could be available for a figure in the region of £15m.

However, the report claims that United's hierarchy are yet to signal whether they would be prepared to sanction a bid before the transfer window draws to a close.

King, who has less than one year left to run on his contract with the Cherries, scored six times and registered four assists in 27 appearances at club level last term.
