Manchester United 'not the club bidding for Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale'

Manchester United are reportedly not the second club to bid for Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale, who is said to be keen on joining Real Madrid.

Manchester United are reportedly not the unnamed club bidding for Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale.

Reports emerged yesterday claiming that the North London outfit are considering an offer from another club, despite being close to agreeing an £86m deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

While some had suggested that United could be the club in question, it is understood that they have not lodged a bid for the prolific Welshman, according to the Daily Star.

United manager David Moyes admitted himself that the club had not made an offer for Bale, but stated that they are interested in the "best" players around.

Reports have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are the only club likely to be able to rival Madrid's big-money offer.
