Manchester United have confirmed Alexander Buttner's departure to Dynamo Moscow for an undisclosed fee.
The Russian club revealed on Tuesday that they had agreed a deal with United for the transfer of the 25-year-old left-back.
It is understood that Moscow have paid around £4.4m for the Dutchman's services.
"Everybody at Old Trafford would like to thank Alex for his service and wish him well for his new career in Russia," read a statement on the club's official website.
Buttner moved to Old Trafford from Vitesse in 2012 before going on to make 28 appearances for the Red Devils.
