A report claims that Romelu Lukaku will return to training with Manchester United a week early in an attempt to prove his professionalism to boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Romelu Lukaku will reportedly cut short his holiday in order to prove his worth to Manchester United.

The Red Devils are due to report back for pre-season training on Monday and the Belgian striker is expected to take part after jetting in from Los Angeles.

Lukaku admitted during the summer that he is interested in a move to Serie A, with Inter Milan the strong favourites to sign him, but for now he remains a United player.

According to The Sun, the 26-year-old fears being priced out of a move to Inter or Juventus and he will therefore focus on winning back his place at United.

By returning a week ahead of schedule, Lukaku supposedly hopes to win over boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after losing his place to Marcus Rashford in the second half of last season.
