Central defender Eric Bailly will reportedly turn down interest from Lyon to stay with Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly reportedly wants to stay at Old Trafford this summer.

Bailly missed the latter stages of the 2018-19 season with a knee problem, which also made him unavailable to represent Ivory Coast at this summer's Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Espanyol youngster impressed during his first campaign at United following a 2016 move from Villarreal, but he has only made 25 Premier League appearances over the last two seasons due to injuries and a loss of form.

Bailly has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer and recent reports have claimed that French giants Lyon are interested in a summer swoop.

According to L'Equipe, though, the 25-year-old - also said to be a target for Arsenal - does not want to leave United for Les Gones.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly plans to give Bailly a chance to impress for the club during the team's preparations for the 2019-20 campaign.
