Rasmus Hojlund will make his full debut for Manchester United in this afternoon's Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

Rasmus Hojlund will make his full debut for Manchester United in this afternoon's Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old striker, who joined from Atalanta BC for around £72m this summer, came on as a second-half substitute in the 3-1 loss at Arsenal before the international break.

Erik ten Hag has now decided to hand Hojlund his first start for the Red Devils at the expense of Anthony Martial, with the Dutch manager making a total of three changes from the side that lost at the Emirates Stadium two weeks ago.

Left-back Sergio Reguilon will also make his full debut for Man United following his loan move from Tottenham Hotspur and comes in for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who drops to the substitutes' bench; Diogo Dalot played at left-back against Arsenal but will switch over to right-back this afternoon.

The final change sees Scott McTominay brought into midfield to start alongside Casemiro at the expense of Antony – who will not represent Man United 'until further notice' amid allegations of assault made against him – and captain Bruno Fernandes will presumably operate on the right flank as a result.

Lisandro Martinez has recovered from a foot injury to start at centre-back alongside Victor Lindelof, while Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford are set to provide support in the final third for both Fernandes and Hojlund.

As for Brighton, Roberto De Zerbi has made six changes to the side that beat Newcastle United 3-1 last time out, with Solly March and Pervis Estupinan two notable omissions from the matchday squad.

Billy Gilmour, Joao Pedro and Evan Ferguson, who also started against Newcastle, are all named on the substitutes' bench – the latter of whom is recovering from a knee injury – while summer signings Ansu Fati and Carlos Baleba are also on the bench and could make their debuts against Man United.

Jason Steele returns in goal at the expense of Bart Verbruggen, and Tariq Lamptey replaces Estupinan with either he or Joel Veltman set to start at left-back.

Mahmoud Dahoud will start in centre-midfield alongside Pascal Gross, while Simon Adingra is handed his first Premier League start on the right wing in the place of March, and Adam Lallana is also named in the first XI along with Kaoru Mitoma and former Red Devils striker Danny Welbeck.
