Paul Pogba claims that teammates Marcus Rashford and Kylian Mbappe are the "future of football" after impressive starts to their respective careers.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has claimed that club teammate Marcus Rashford and French international teammate Kylian Mbappe are the "future of football".

The speed of the two youngsters has led to comparisons between them and Pogba claims that it is easy to see why his two teammates are likened to one another.

Mbappe won the World Cup alongside Pogba in 2018 and he has praised Mbappe along with Rashford for what the pair have achieved in their respective careers so far.

Speaking to Man United's website, the 28-year-old said: "They're two big, big talents. I think they are so young and so talented. They achieved so much for their young age. I think they are the present and the future of football."

Rashford has scored 20 goals and registered 13 assists for the Red Devils this season, and Mbappe has 37 goals in 43 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain this campaign.

Man United's Premier League fixture against rivals Liverpool was cancelled on Sunday after fan protests on the Old Trafford pitch, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side due to play Roma in the Europa League semi-final on Thursday.
