Manchester United defensive duo Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw react to their team's 3-2 loss at Arsenal in the Premier League.

Lisandro Martinez has said that Manchester United must move on quickly from their 3-2 loss to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The two teams were level at 2-2 heading into second-half stoppage time in North London, with Martinez registering a second for Man United after Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka had struck for Arsenal, who managed to bounce back from Marcus Rashford's opener.

However, Nketiah scored a late winner for Arsenal, with Man United dropping points in the capital for the second time in the space of a few days, following on from the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.

Martinez has expressed his disappointment at the defeat, but the Argentina international has said that his team must move on quickly, as they prepare for the next game with Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup.

"For sure we are disappointed," Martinez told MUTV. "We want to win the game, but we didn't, and we are very disappointed. But we are strong, we have to keep fighting and we go for the next one.

"I think we can win the game today. But this is about details. If you are not [focused on] every detail, you can't win.

"We have to be strong, and we have to learn also from every experience. [It] cannot happen again, for sure it cannot happen again. We have to be really focused on the game and we have to kill the game. We have to win.

"For sure, it is a dream to score my first goal here in Manchester United. I am really happy with that, but in the end it was not the result that I want. We have to keep going.

"[We] don't have a day to be sad. We have to go tomorrow and change. We have to go for the next one."

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw told Sky Sports News: "You have to give them credit for what they have done this season. I know we are only halfway but I think they deserve to be at the top from the way they are playing and the way they play.

"Like I just said we are only halfway through the season and there is a long way to go, we have to fully focus now on our next game as we have a big semi-final coming up.

"The quality of these games [are improving] much more. It was a tough game to be involved in but these are the games that every player wants to play in to test themselves against the best.

"We are all gutted conceding so late on but it's a bit of a reality check to where we are at the moment. We have to get back to work tomorrow with a big game this Wednesday against Forest."

The result has left Man United in fourth spot in the Premier League table, level on points with third-placed Newcastle United and six clear of Tottenham Hotspur in fifth.
