Paris Saint-Germain reportedly plan to make moves for Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen as potential summer transfer targets.

Ahead of 2022-23, much was made of PSG beginning a new era with Christophe Galtier being appointed as head coach and Luis Campos arriving as football advisor.

The French giants adopted a different strategy in the transfer market, signing players such as Vitinha and Hugo Ekitike who were deemed to be players for the present and future.

However, PSG were again eliminated at the last-16 stage of the Champions League in midweek, losing 3-0 on aggregate to Bayern Munich, and it has led to speculation regarding the future of Galtier.

As it stands, the experienced Frenchman has remained at the helm, but further changes are expected at Parc des Princes over the coming months.

At a time when there are also doubts over the futures of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, PSG are being credited with an interest in possible additions.

According to L'Equipe, PSG intend to try to sign Silva and Osimhen from Man City and Napoli respectively.

The former is known to be open to a new challenge having been with the Premier League outfit since 2017, making a total of 288 appearances in all competitions.

Although the Portugal international possesses a contract until 2025, City may give consideration to a sale if presented with a suitable offer and in the knowledge that the playmaker was interested in leaving the club last year.

Meanwhile, Osimhen is arguably the most sought-after forward currently participating in European football having played a key role in moving Napoli to the brink of winning the Serie A title.

The Nigeria international has chipped in with 19 goals from 21 appearances this campaign, leading to suggestions that he could cost in excess of £100m if he is to leave Naples this summer.

Osimhen acknowledged at the start of the week that he holds "a dream" of playing in the Premier League, amid alleged interest from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has previously insisted that the 24-year-old is not for sale, although the player's contract is currently due to expire in 2025.
