John Guidetti: 'I can see myself remaining at Celtic'

John Guidetti says that he would be interested in joining "amazing" Celtic on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Manchester City striker John Guidetti has hinted that he could turn his current loan stint at Celtic into a permanent stay at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old, who has scored nine goals in the same number of games since linking up with the Hoops, is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium next summer.

Guidetti is now looking to continue his impressive run in front of goal, claiming that any decision over his future will be made at a later date.

"Of course I can see myself here next year," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "You can always see yourself at a club like this. It's an amazing football club. I want to thank the fans for being so kind to me. They put a bit of pressure on me last week by singing my name even before I scored!

"If it's the right thing then it is the right thing. I don't think money has anything to do with it. As long as you can put food on the table and support your family. Of course this is my job and you want to be financially stable, but you are going to be at a club like this.

"You have to look at all the options and see what is there. I need to put myself in a good position by playing well. Celtic want me to play well also and just focus on this year. It's my agent's job at the end of the season."

Guidetti has previously spent time on loan at Burnley, Feyenoord and Stoke City.
