Pablo Zabaleta expects open title race

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta believes that it will be an open title race in this season's Premier League.

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has predicted an open title race in this season's Premier League.

The Blues got their campaign off to a winning start on Monday with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium.

"People say there are just three teams in the title race but that's not true," Zabaleta is quoted as saying by Goal.com.

"Liverpool have improved and play attractive football, though a lot will depend on what happens with Luis Suarez, and there is also Arsenal and Spurs.

"The season has only just begun. It's going to be a very interesting season."

Zabaleta recently signed a new contract extension until 2017 with the club.
