Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has admitted that he hopes to return to former club Boca Juniors in the future.

The Argentinian has just 18 months left to run on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium, and speculation has emerged this week that City are keen to discuss a contract extension with the player.

The 28-year-old began his career with Boca before leaving in 2004, but Tevez concedes that he would love to play for the club again one day.

"The will to return to Boca always exists, even more so with Bianchi as a manager," Tevez told ESPN.

"I would like to wear the shirt of the team I love again."

Tevez also believes that he is no longer needed by the Argentina national side.
