Roberto Mancini to start Carlos Tevez on bench?

Roberto Mancini says that Carlos Tevez could feature for 30 minutes in Manchester City's Premier League showdown with Chelsea tomorrow.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has admitted that he is considering starting Carlos Tevez on the bench for his side's Premier League clash with Chelsea tomorrow.

The Argentina international has not featured for City's first team since September last year and has only competed in a few reserve matches since returning to the North West last month.

Speaking at a press conference today, the Italian coach revealed that the 28-year-old could be handed a spot on the bench but is likely to only play for half an hour.

"[Tevez] is getting better but I don't think Carlo can have more than 25-30 minutes," said Mancini. "Tomorrow we will decide. We want to know the situation with the players."

City are currently four points behind league leaders Manchester United.
