Manchester City youngster Emyr Huws earns Wales call-up

Manchester City youngster Emyr Huws receives his first Wales call-up after impressing on loan at Birmingham City.

Manchester City youngster Emyr Huws has been selected by Chris Coleman for Wales's friendly against Iceland on March 5.

The 20-year-old midfielder is chosen after impressing on loan at Birmingham City over the past month.

Huws initially joined Birmingham until the start of March, but last week extended the deal until the end of the season after a string of fine performances.

Huws is the only uncapped player included and joins Real Madrid's Gareth Bale in the squad, while Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is out injured.

Since joining Birmingham, Huws has completed all five league games for Birmingham and has featured in SM's Championship Team of the Week twice.
