Joe Hart eyes Manchester City response against Leicester City

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart urges his teammates to put their defeat to Liverpool behind them by beating Leicester.

Joe Hart has called on Manchester City to bounce back from their defeat to Liverpool with a win over Leicester City.

The Blues saw the defence of their Premier League title suffer a blow on Sunday as they were beaten 2-1 at Anfield.

That result has left the champions five points behind leaders Chelsea, who have a game in hand.

However, Hart is hopeful that City can build some momentum when they welcome struggling Leicester to the Etihad Stadium tomorrow night.

"We start again against Leicester and we have to try and get some momentum going. The season is full of highs and lows and that's the beauty of this league," he told the club's official website.

"It's not by choice – we certainly don't set out to lose games and then have a points gap to make up, but that's the way it's fallen for us and that's the way we will have to attack it again this time."

City earned a narrow 1-0 victory at Leicester when the sides met in the reverse fixture back in December.
