Fernandinho: 'We're a different Manchester City now'

Fernandinho believes that fans will see a "different" Manchester City from now on following a three-game winning run.

Fernandinho has insisted that fans will see a "different" Manchester City from now on after they moved to within six points of league leaders Chelsea.

City have secured a 100% winning record in their last three matches in all competitions, the latest being Sunday's 3-0 triumph over Southampton.

City, who won last season's league title by two points, are closing in on Chelsea after Jose Mourinho's side failed to break the deadlock in a goalless draw with Sunderland on Saturday.

"This is a new time for us, and from now until the end of the season I think you will see a different Manchester City," the Manchester Evening News quotes Fernandinho as saying.

"We didn't start very well this season but now, at the end of November, we are playing much better. Now we need to keep at this quality for the whole year."

In the league, City are unbeaten in four games.
