Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino allegedly urges Adam Lallana, whom he worked with at Southampton, to leave Liverpool this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has allegedly encouraged Adam Lallana to leave Liverpool this summer.

Lallana has spent the last five seasons at Anfield, but the playmaker has been left frustrated over the past two campaigns due to a number of injuries.

The England international is out of contract at the end of June, and Football Insider claims that Pochettino wants to see the 31-year-old leave the Merseyside giants.

The report suggests that Pochettino, who worked with Lallana during their time at Southampton, is keen for his former player to make the most of the final years of his career.

Lallana is now only regarded as a fringe member of the first-team squad by Jurgen Klopp, with just six starts coming in all competitions since the start of August.
