Liverpool midfielder James Milner - out of contract next summer - admits that this could be his final season for the Reds.

Liverpool midfielder James Milner has admitted that he is unsure whether he will remain with the Reds beyond the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

The 33-year-old was a key contributor to the team's success during the 2018-19 season, scoring seven times and registering seven assists in 45 appearances in all competitions.

Milner will see his current deal at Anfield expire next summer, though, and the former England international has conceded that it could be his last season with the Reds.

"As it stands, last year we spoke to the club and asked them if they wanted to do something and they said not at that time," Milner told reporters. "We haven't heard anything since, so that's where we are at.

"All I can do is concentrate on my football and do what I can. But in terms of where I am with my contract, that's what has happened up until now and I haven't heard anything from the club."

A 2015 arrival from Manchester City, Milner has made 177 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, contributing 22 goals and 36 assists for the Merseyside giants.
