Liverpool are reportedly looking to strengthen their midfield before the transfer window closes by signing Atletico Madrid's Marcos Llorente.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Marcos Llorente from Atletico Madrid.

The Reds, who have taken two points from their three league games this season, are currently struggling with injuries in midfield and are looking at bringing in reinforcements before the transfer window closes.

They have been linked with Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong and England international Jude Bellingham, but they are also rumoured to be considering a move for Llorente.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are looking to sign Llorente from Atletico despite the player having five years left to run on his contract.

Although Llorente has started both of Atletico's games this season, the report suggests that Diego Simeone could allow the 27-year-old to leave should Liverpool make an offer.

The Spain international has scored 18 goals and provided 20 assists for the La Liga club since arriving in 2019.
