Liverpool are reportedly growing in concern over the possibility of Jurgen Klopp becoming the next manager of the German national side.

Liverpool are reportedly growing increasingly concerned over the possibility of Jurgen Klopp becoming the next manager of the German national side.

The German currently has three years left on his current deal on Anfield, but owner John W Henry is determined to hand him a longer-term deal.

However, Klopp has so far resisted attempts from Liverpool to tie him down with a bumper contract, prompting fears that he could be swayed by the Germany role.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool's owners, the Fenway Sports Group, are concerned about the possibility of an approach from Die Mannschaft once Joachim Low vacates the position.

The latter, who won the World Cup in 2014, has been in the role since 2006, and is expected to lead his team into Euro 2020 next year.

Klopp, on the other hand, has previously spoken of taking a sabbatical from management once his contract runs out at Liverpool.
