Leicester City planning £7m Islam Slimani bid?

Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani is believed to be the subject of interest from Leicester City, according to a report.

Leicester City are reportedly preparing a £7m bid for Algerian international Islam Slimani.

The 26-year-old enjoyed a successful World Cup and scored twice for his country in the group stages.

His contract at current club Sporting Lisbon is due to expire in June 2017 and The Mirror reports that the Foxes are confident of securing his services.

Slimani has scored 12 goals in 24 appearances for his country.
