Nigel Pearson: '100-point mark is added incentive to finish well'

Nigel Pearson believes that Leicester City should be eager to reach 100 points this season.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has claimed that his players should be eager to record 100 points in the Championship this season.

The Foxes secured the title with victory over Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday, but Pearson believes that they should be targeting at least four points from their final two games.

"We want to finish the season well," the Leicester boss told reporters. "We have a moral obligation to do that anyway but the added incentive of getting the highest points total the club has ever got is there.

"We've equalled it and we've got two games left and we have the opportunity to win six more points if possible. Whether we can do that or not remains to be seen but we'll have a go at it."

Leicester face Huddersfield Town in their penultimate fixture on Saturday afternoon.
