Leeds United confirm signing of Gboly Ariyibi

Leeds United sign young American winger Gboly Ariyibi on a deal until the end of the season.

Leeds United have completed the signing of Gboly Ariyibi on a short-term contract.

The winger, 18, was released by Southampton in the summer but has impressed Leeds boss Brian McDermott and will now stay with the club until the end of the season.

"He played in a couple of games and took part in some training sessions and he looks like he's got a chance," McDermott is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"He's quite an exciting player - very, very quick. He's a great lad too. He really wanted to sign for us and he's been training with the first team. He looks good."

Leeds are currently eighth in the Championship.
