Steve Bruce: 'We want 20 points by Christmas'

Steve Bruce insists that Hull City's target is to reach 20 points in their next two Premier League games.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has revealed that his target for the players is to be on 20 points by the Christmas.

His target means that Hull, currently 12th in the Premier League, must win one or draw both of their next two games against Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion respectively.

"Could this period define the season? Yes, I think so," Sky Sports News quotes Bruce as saying.

"If you can put back to back games together now, that can stand you in good stead. Can we get to 20 points before Christmas? That would be ideal and we'd be halfway to getting where we want to be.

"We knew how difficult it would be to be in the Premier League and we knew we would have to be really, really good at home and, touch wood, we have been."

Hull have taken just four points from a possible 15 in their last five games.
