A report claims that Huddersfield Town have taken Poole Town defender Will Spetch on trial.

Huddersfield Town have reportedly taken Poole Town defender Will Spetch on trial.

The 22-year-old, who primarily operates at centre-back, is widely regarded as one of the best talents outside the Football League, with a number of clubs believed to be monitoring developments.

According to Sky Sports News, Huddersfield are at the head of the queue after taking the youngster on a trial period with a view to a permanent contract.

It is unlikely that Poole, who currently operate in the Southern League Premier Division, would be in a position to repel a sizable bid in the January transfer window.
