Hibernian manager Pat Fenlon confirms that club captain James McPake will miss Sunday's Scottish Cup final due to injury.

Hibernian manager Pat Fenlon has confirmed that club captain James McPake will miss Sunday's Scottish Cup final after failing to recover from a back injury.

McPake, who has missed the last three games with the problem, had taken a pain-killing injection at the start of this week.

However, Fenlon has confirmed that the defender has not recovered in time for the match against Celtic at Hampden Park.

Fenlon told STV: "He's not going to make it, we made that decision today. He hasn't trained.

"It's unfortunate for him, obviously he's the captain of the team and it's a big blow."

Fenlon has hinted that Jordon Forster could replace McPake in the team.
