Germany defender Per Mertesacker misses training with the team while suffering from a bout of flu.

Per Mertesacker has missed Germany's latest training session after suffering with a bout of flu.

The illness has affected a number of members of the Germany squad over the last week, but the defender was the only player sidelined yesterday.

However, Bastian Schweinsteiger took part in a reduced session, working on an exercise bike in the shade rather than taking part in drills with his teammates.

Germany will face host nation Brazil in the last four in Belo Horizonte.
