Gian Piero Gasperini: 'Juventus are still the team to beat'

Genoa manager Gian Piero Gasperini says that Juventus are "still the team to beat" in Serie A as his side prepare to face the Italian champions.

Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini has said that Juventus are "still the team to beat" ahead of their clash on Sunday.

The defending Serie A champions have made a poor start to the season, having collected just one point from their first three matches.

"It will be a game where we cannot focus on [Juventus] and what they are compared to last year," Gasperini told reporters.

"They are a great team and are not inferior to anyone. Juve are still the team to beat.

"Despite their poor start, it does not diminish the quality of their squad. They will look to get back to winning ways against us, so let's see what happens."

Genoa are 11th in Serie A while Juventus are 16th.
