Fulham striker Andy Johnson could be on his way to the United Arab Emirates.

Fulham striker Andy Johnson is interested in a move to the United Arab Emirates, according to his agent.

The 31-year-old former England international is out of contract at Craven Cottage this summer and is not expected to be retained by the West London club.

Dubai outfit Al Ahli and Abu Dhabi side Al Ain are both said to be keen on a move for Johnson, whose representative Anthony McFarlane has confirmed that such a move is a possibility.

McFarlane told sport360: "It's something he has firmly been thinking about. He is now 31, and he has never been in this situation in his career where he is available on a Bosman.

"His mind is open and he's looking at all his options, both here in England and abroad. He is keen on a new challenge and very interested in a move to the UAE provided the offer is right.

"He's married, he's got two kids and a move to the UAE would provide a nice lifestyle and a new experience for AJ and his family."

Johnson, who cost Fulham £10.5m in 2008, has scored 13 Premier League goals in 86 appearances for the club.
