Moise Kean's father insists Everton move was a "mistake"

Everton striker Moise Kean's father insists that his son's move to Everton over the summer was a "mistake" and demands that the youngster returns to Serie A.

Everton striker Moise Kean's father has insisted that his son's move to Everton over the summer was a "mistake" and demanded that the youngster return to Serie A.

The Italian moved to Goodison Park in the summer for a fee of £27m following an impressive spell at Juventus during which he scored six Serie A goals in the space of a few months.

However, he has struggled to adapt in England, making just two starts in the Premier League and failing to score a goal.

Reflecting on the transfer, Jean Kean told Centro Suono Sport: "Sending my son to England was a mistake, because he's still too young, he's not feeling good at Everton, I didn't like this transfer. I hope he can come back to Italy as soon as possible, I hope he goes to Rome, but the important thing is that he comes back here.

"At Everton, where he is playing now, he is not settling in well. I think he was supposed to wait a few more years before he had an experience abroad. If there is a possibility for him to come back to Italy, I hope he can do that, so as not to ruin him."

The 19-year-old was recently dropped by Everton for their meeting with Southampton after arriving late to a team meeting.

It is claimed that both AC Milan and Roma are interested in completing a deal for Kean in the January transfer window.
