Phil Neville hints that he is open to becoming the new Everton manager following his decision to end his playing career at Goodison Park.

Phil Neville has admitted that becoming the new Everton manager would be a "really good" job to be offered.

The 36-year-old has been touted as a possible replacement to David Moyes, who left his post at Goodison Park to embark on a new challenge as Manchester United manager.

Neville, who left the Toffees at the end of the season, has claimed that he is yet to make a decision on his future, but has expressed a desire to move into management.

"It is flattering to be linked with the Everton job," Neville told The Express. "There is a structure in place where the new man who comes in will not have that much to do.

"I am at the end of my [playing] career and I am looking to get into coaching and management. It is just whatever direction the club want to take. It would be a really good job to get. But I also know there are players who have gone into jobs and failed."

Meanwhile, the former Manchester United player is reportedly being considered for a senior role at Stoke City following manager Tony Pulis's departure.
