Jamie Carragher has questioned why the Premier League have not yet revealed the outcome of Everton's appeal against their 10-point deduction.
Everton were handed the penalty - the harshest in top-flight history - back in November for breaching the league's Profitability and Sustainability rules.
The club went over the limit that Premier League teams are allowed to lose in an allotted period by £19.5m.
Despite working closely with the league, Everton were still found guilty, as a statement from the club revealed that they were "shocked and disappointed" at the severity of the punishment.
The Premier League received widespread condemnation from pundits and politicians across the country, with the Departure of Culture, Media and Sport asking for immediate clarification on how they came to the decision.
An appeal was lodged by Everton the same week and a hearing was held over a three-day period two weeks ago, with a decision said to be made by mid-February.

The deduction leaves Sean Dyche's side in the relegation zone, one point below Luton Town in 17th, as they would be level on points with 12th-placed Fulham without the points penalty.
As Everton await a final decision, former player and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has called the Premier League into question, with claims that they are dragging their feet over the issue.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), Carragher posted: "What is the hold up on the appeals decision regarding Everton's 10pt deduction?
"Two weeks have passed, this is surely a matter of urgency for Everton & the clubs around them. I'm sure they & the PL know their decision by now."
Carragher then questioned whether the Premier League are worried of facing further backlash from Everton supporters, similar to what happened during their clash with Manchester United at Goodison Park in their first home game after the penalty was delivered.

The entirety of Goodison Park held up cards calling the Premier League corrupt, while banners across the Gwladys Street end further accused the organisation of being unfit for purpose.
Carragher continued: "Are the PL waiting until after Everton's home game on Monday because they fear the reaction?"
The ex-Liverpool defender also featured on The Overlap podcast shortly after the penalty was given to Everton, alongside Gary Neville, who claims the scenario surrounding Everton shows that the Premier League are not fit to govern themselves, further enhancing his calls for an independent regulator to come into football.
Everton have since been charged for a second breach which overlaps some of the financial years in which they have already been punished for, something the club have said they will appeal against.
Nottingham Forest were also in breach over the same period, and details on a punishment are expected to be handed out before the end of the season.
