Espanyol have claimed all three points against Getafe after a late goal from Walter Pandiani at the Cornella-El Prat stadium.
In an evenly-matched first half, both sides failed to create any clear chances.
It took the hosts until the second minute of injury time to claim the spoils when veteran striker Pandiani vollyed home from inside the area.
The win takes Espanyol up to tenth place, while Getafe remain second from bottom in the table.
